As last year, the Beth Johnson Ramblers are pleased to be taking part in the

Staffordshire Moorlands Walking Festival 2026. Our walks are taking place on Tuesday 28th April and are listed below.

Roach End - 8 miles - Moderate 

Meeting Point:  Meerbrook Road near to T-junction by St Matthews Church, Meerbrook, ST13 8SN.  Grid ref SJ989607. (9.30am for 9.45 start)

Event Details: Info: Farmland and rocky moorland walking to Roach End over the Roaches and past the Trig point onward to  Doxey Pool. There is a rocky descent past Don William’s Memorial Hut and a then return to Meerbrook. Bring drinks and packed lunch for as there will be stops. Boots and waterproofs recommended.

Tittesworth - 4.75 miles - Leisurely

Meeting Point:  Meerbrook Road near to Tittesworth Watersports, Meerbrook, ST13 8SJ.   Grid ref SJ988600. (9.45am for a 10.00am start)  

Event Details: A circular walk taking in all the views around Tittesworth Reservoir and a walk across the dam.

Gun - 4.75 miles - Moderate 

Meeting Point: Meerbrook Road near to T-junction by St Matthews Church Meerbrook, ST13 8SN. Grid ref SJ989607. (10.00am for a 10.30am start)

Event Details: A climb up Gun Hill which is both an Ethel and a Marilyn at 1,263 feet but the route approaches hill gently with a coffee stop with a view, Most of the walk is farm and field tracks and moorland paths with only 800 yards on the road. Bring a packed lunch and a drink.

Tean Totmonslow - 5.7 miles - Moderate 

Meeting Point:  Old Road Car Park, Tean, ST10 4EG. Grid Ref SK008397. (10.15am for a 10.30am start).

Event Details:  A circular walk starting from Tean. There are a number of stiles with difficulty rating set as Moderate. Bring drink and packed lunch as there will be a couple of stops.
